Close to sunset at the VLA near Soccorro, New Mexico, USA one of the 27 the connected dishes which make up this aperture synthesis telescope relentlessly tracks a supernova remnant as it moves across the sky. It is reflected in a small pool of water after rain which was unusual in this arid desert climate. November 1994.
